The enigmatic denizens of Astra Nova are the key.
The smartest bio-anthropologists & xenolinguistics can’t make heads or tails of what they want or need— dubbing these creatures “Deviants.”
Most times, the Deviants keep their distance, throwing an occasional small rock (or fireball!) at those who get too close.
But every so once in a while, they seem to be trying to communicate & lead explorers to new discoveries.
Can these Deviants be tamed? Trusted? Some believe these Deviants hold the key to understanding the origin of this world.
Gangs of poachers, The Hunters, have begun to capture & hoard them for their untapped potential.
The Deviants must be saved.
